Wow, guess it's been a while since we did an update!  For Thanksgiving we were able to go to Rachel's parents house, but Rachel was sick with a viral infection so it wasn't much of a break for her.  Jonathan was able to take a whole week off for Christmas, so we spent Christmas in Iowa and then went to New York for New Year's.  It was great to be able to see Jonathan's family, and we were able to visit a lot of people that weren't able to make it out for the wedding.  We returned to Kansas the evening of January 2nd and Jonathan had to go back to work the next morning.  Rachel was technically on break from classes, but was still required to see clients over the break.

Rachel started class again on January 17th.  She is nearing the end of her required classes for her program, but has started to take extra classes to prepare her for her doctorate program.  This semester Rachel is taking a class on treating substance abuse and domestic violence, a quantitative statistics course, a course on demography, and her practicum class.  Rachel is still seeing clients regularly and has passed the 100-hour mark for client contact hours!

Jonathan is still enjoying his job.  We attended his Christmas holiday party, where he won $100 in grocery store giftcards.  It's been fairly slow at work.  The primary company that he has been working for was closed over Christmas.  Bartlett & West just signed three contracts that will keep him busy for the foreseeable future.  Jonathan has been working less behind the scenes recently and has been a contact person for clients.  He has been continuing to work on his computer as well as another media PC for our bedroom.

Things in Kansas have been uneventful.  We have had hardly any snow or ice.  On the news the other day they said that Topeka averages 19.4 inches of snow per winter season, and so far this season we have had 0.2 inches.  We have had very warm weather (60's and even low 70's), but our average temperatures are in the 50's.  Last weekend we went to Kansas City for Jonathan's birthday and we couldn't believe how nice it was outside!
